Marriage probably at Priors Dean c1710
« on: Thursday 26 October 17 15:35 BST (UK) »
Hello Hampshire

Please could someone find me a marriage around 1710 for Richard ROBERTS to a Dorothy.  They are my 7 x gt grandparents.
I have no information about Dorothy, but I know that Richard died in 1760 at Priors Dean and his will is at the records office.
Family search gives this couple a few children - Elizabeth born 1723 is my line - but no details of a marriage. I have tried the usual pay sites.

Thank you.  NC.

I have the CD for Hampshire Marriages 1660-1753 and there is not one recorded for a Richard Roberts to  Dorothy.

I also have the Baptisms 1660-1751 these are the only ones recorded on that

19 June 1706-Thomas Roberts s Richard & Dorothy  born 12 June
13 Jan 1715/16-Ann Roberts      )twins privately baptised rec'vd 24th Jan
18 Jan 1715/16-Richard Roberts )

No other baptisms - no Elizabeth-the marriage must have been earlier than 1710?

Thank you both for your responses.  There is some useful information there but not what I had hoped.  Probably I have reached the end of that particular line unfortunately.  Dorothy will remain forever unknown.  :'(
