This could be her death in 1910
http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article15192652

It says she is wife of captain Thomas CHILDS and she is aged 51 (?)

From Nsw bdm death
1910 Emma CHILDS 12403/1910 father ...., mother Mary, at Balmain

Some obits to captain Thomas CHILDS who died in 1939 http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article17614902

I can photograph the probate for  Thomas CHILDS the next time I am at archives if you wish.  It *should* have death cert, a will and full names and locations of heirs.   Occasionally there are more Certs and info.

Hi there,

What information did the bride and the groom provide about themselves, their origins, and their respective parents when they married?  Who were their witnesses?  If either bride or groom was not yet 21, who gave consent?   This would be first hand information, and likely more reliable than say info from a NSW BDM death registration.

What to expect on a NSW BDM marriage registration:
http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/Pages/family-history/registry-records.aspx
Bridegroom's full name, his occupation, his place of residence, his conjugal status, his place and (sometimes) his actual date of birth, his age at marriage, his father's name and his mother's maiden name.
Bride's full name, her occupation, her place of residence, her conjugal status, her place and (sometimes) her date of birth, her then age, her father's name and her mother's maiden name.

NSW BDM online index has:
Tho CHILDS marrying Emma PEARCE, registered in the BDM district of Sydney, 8 March 1881 #301.

If there’s blanks on the NSW BDM registration  (it is possible that a Sydney marriage conducted by a clergyman was fully reconciled to the Church registers back in the early 20th Century.)
