Samsung Hi Fi with no headphone socket

Evening everyone
I have a Samsung hi fi which I have had for about five years now, but it does not have a headphone socket. It does have a button which comes up on the display as Bluetooth ready so I bought a pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones but cannot seem to link them at all.
Is it something I'm not doing, or is it unlikely that I would be able to use them?
Sorry, I am dealing with something that I don't understand, just would love to be able to use headphones with my hi fi !

If you have Bluetooth on your phone what devices is it picking up??

Bluetooth is switched on on the hi fi.
Havent tried it on my phone...

okay, so my phone is able to find the wireless headphones, which is a good start, it is just the hi fi then, which is what I actually wanted them for.

So it can't find the HiFi.... must be turned off on HiFi
