Coulson family Blyth
« on: Monday 30 October 17 09:24 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for any relatives of George William Coulson born 1876 a pitman  who lived in Bebside/Cowpen and also I believe at the 'Bella'.
He had a son Edward b.1904 and a daughter Mary Isabella Halliday Coulson b 1910 who I think married Joseph Elliott in 1933.
George came from a family of 10 so there are lots of Coulson out there.
I have discovered that I am related to them by marriage. My great aunt married George's brother John Robert Coulson and after his early death she  went to America with their son also John Robert Coulson then aged 7.
After much searching I found my family in America and have visited them twice. They are coming to the uk in 2018 and I would love to find something about the Coulsons to share with them or possibly arrange a meeting.
Have exhausted all the on line routes....I need to find some people.
Any help appreciated

Are you any relation to William COULSON, master of the ship Mercury in 1834? Just curious :)

Haven't seen anything to suggest any historic naval connections but thanks for replying

George William Coulson is in several trees on Ancestry (public and private).  Have you contacted the tree owners for more information?

GenesReunited sounds like the obvious route to connect with living people.

Otherwise you have to try and work your way down to descendants of all George's siblings...

You say that George came from a family of 10 - how many of them reached adulthood, and how many were male, otherwise they do not retain the surname Coulson?
