Ulverston
« on: Monday 30 October 17 15:17 GMT (UK) »
hello all,
when i find a relative on the census i like to look up the address on google maps(street view) and take a snapshot of the house they occupied and add it to my files.
I was wondering if anybody can help me to identify which property this one is as i cannot see any numbers on the houses in the street.

1 Church Walk, Ulverston.

Thank you for your time

Googling church walk ulverston will lead you to the property website "rightm..e" which has pictures of houses sold on church walk, complete with house numbers, but this will only tell you what it is like today, it may have been renumbered in the past, especially since the last census in 1911.

My brother used to live at 11 Church Walk which is on the corner of Sea View, the end of the terrace next to the church. Looking at old maps the 1890 OS town plan only shows a terrace of four houses in the centre of the plot. By 1913 there were four more added on the church end an three on the Sea View end. The original four are now numbered 17 to 23 to narrow your search. Assuming the numbering hasn't been altered too wildly
