Anyone with Swedish friends/family/connections ?
« on: Monday 30 October 17 21:44 GMT (UK) »
I've got someone who was definitely born in Germany but I think may have had Swedish roots. His name was Ludvic, which places him nicely inbetween the German Ludwig & the Swedish Ludvig). Does anyone know if there's a Swedish form which is Ludwic or maybe if it's an old form ? (My Ludvic was born at the beginning of the nineteenth century)

Thanks

Sorry...of course, what I meant to say is "Does anyone know if there's a Swedish variant which is Ludvic ?"

Hi
The Swedish variants are either Ludwig or Ludvig. I have never seen the Ludwic or Ludvic spelling before although it could well have been back in the 19th Century. Hope this helps.
