Arthur Gregory Shoreditch area

Hi

I am trying to trace the death of this man who married Alice Lindsey in 1930 in Shoreditch RD and had 4 children the youngest of whom Brenda was born June qtr 1941. Alice remarried to a John  Woolfe Dec qtr 1944 in Hackney RD.

I am trying to find his death to work out when he was born but I don't seem to have any likely candidates on the Free BMD. Any help would be much appreciated.

Alice Gregory (nee Lindsey) was b 1907

Arthur appears to be a year younger

Many thanks, the discovery of the death coincides with family lore that he died in the war and the names of the parents Arthur & Annie fits with the wedding of Arthur Gregory and Annie Woolley in 1907.

I found the family in the 1911 census with Arthur Senior born c1880 in Haggerston , which would have been in the Shoreditch RD, but again cannot find a birth that would fit. Again any help would be much appreciated.

Are you sure you have the correct marriage in 1907? As I believe this is Arthur Snr's marriage -

Marriage Age - 24

Spouse - Annie Woolley, 22
Wits - William Jones and Eliza Bent

Hi, it appears that Arthur Gregory married Annie Woolley on 19 November 1904 at Holy Trinity Church, Hoxton.  Both were living at 9 Turner Place.  He was a 24 year old carman and she was 22.  His father is Albert Henry Gregory, also a carman and her father is William Wooley a jeweller.

Witneses were William Jones and Eliza Bent.

That suggests a birthdate of 1880 for him and 1882 for her.
