Research topic Rose Nellie JOHNSON. Recorded as a Lunatic attendant (Head) at the St Pancras Infirmary and Asylum, on the 1911 census. Looking for help to access the staff records of the Infirmary. Would like to know any information regarding Rose Nellie and / or family.   She had a daughter Stella born in July 1917. This is the last known record for Rose we can find.  Stella's family do not know if 'Johnson' is a married or maiden name as there is no father's name on her birth certificate. This request is from family in New Zealand unable to look up records  personally.
Any help would be gratefully received. Thank you

Thank you Jackie.
We have a copy of Stella's birth certificate (no father info) and her marriage certificate (NZ) which states her father's name as Arthur.
Stella was born 8th July 1917, registered Wimbledon, County of Surrey. She travelled to NZ in 1922 with 2 single women (not relatives) who (according to Stella) took her on as a ward after the death of Rose Nellie. We have been unable to definitively trace Rose Nellie (or Ellen) from Derbyshire records or London death records. Hence a query with regards to her staff records in hope they may provide more information.
Regards
Liesabeth

Hi there

Happy to look up the records but not having a lot of luck locating them in the Catalogue

The Census says this is the St Pancras Workhouse, 4 King's Rd, Camden Town which I think is different from the St Pancras Infirmary

Anyone offer any pointers where the records are located at LMA?

pp. 120 (last item) – 123 (top)
Unfortunately, some of the relevant records are unfit.
LMA is closed until 20 November.

Thanks Bookbox

Tried to look at the Catalogue to see if there was more info on there but the Search Engine seems to be working worse than usual

Hopefully it will be more useable before the December Saturday

We have been unable to definitively trace Rose Nellie (or Ellen) from Derbyshire records or London death records.
Have I missed something - why are you searching Derbyshire? You say Stella was born in Wimbledon - did she live there until she emigrated?

What does Stella give as her father Arthur's occupation? Is Rose Nellie recorded in 1911 as married/single/widowed?
