Raymond Sach was born Copford, Essex on 17 May 1899 to Frederick & Elizabeth Sach. 

His service record has survived and says that he embarked at Folkestone on 31 March 1918.  Two months later on 27 May he was captured near Chalons de Vergeur. 

Raymond died on 9 November at Worm’s PoW Hospital in Germany and is buried at Worms (Hochheim Hill) Cemetery, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany.
