I began to check out a "Captain Walley" and think I found mention of a "Walley, Water Lily" sailing for Valparaiso from Gravesend early in the year of his reported death.

Best of luck with the search.

Hello Capetown,

I am so embarrassed.
That is my tree, put together some years ago.
I no longer have a subscription to Ancestry, so never look there.
And I had completely forgotten about William.

Hello- I am new to this group, and have found the posts regarding Rees David Thomas and Frances Walley of great interest. My great grandfather John Cole ( born 1832) was married to their daughter Emily Frances Thomas. I am keen to make contact with Jean Price of Rangiora as she has knowledge about  this family tree. Thanks
