Any information can be found from a photo of this soldier?
« on: Sunday 05 November 17 18:54 GMT (UK) »
I am hoping someone can help me as I have this photograph passed down from my grandparents but I have no idea who it is.
All I can tell is it likely a Canadian soldier from the patch on his arm.
Thanks for any help.

Not in Canada as far as I know.

One in England, Leslie George Jordan.

Good evening,

The cap badge is Royal Flying Corp so before 1918. And yes, Canadian.

He's a pilot but not RAF - looks like Royal Flying Corps therefore before 1st April 1918.

RAF formed 1st April 1918. The Royal Flying Corps (Army) amalgamated with Royal Naval Air Service to form Royal Air Force.

Hi, I agree with John915, your man is definitely Royal Flying Corps.

Superb photograph by the way.
