Isabella Snowball - c.1801, Blaydon
« on: Monday 06 November 17 13:09 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

Could anyone please take a look and see if there is a record of a baptism for Isabella Snowball, born c.1801 in Blaydon (according to census records).  She went on to marry Robert Scott in 1822 in Wallsend, NBL.

Any siblings would also be fantastic!

Many thanks,
Emma

I searched on Family Search and found this entry which looked 'possible'
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JMTW-NQH

Then I looked at the Bishops Transcripts and the entry says they lived in Blaydon

If you repeat the procedure you should be able to track down any siblings.

That's brilliant, thank you!  So, my 5xGt Grandfather was Mr A Snowball.  I think that's my most obscure name yet! :)

Thanks again,

Emma

Snowball - obscure not really. Mainly in County Durham. Durham Records Online has 179 pages of them. 1599-1999.

Just a little more: Mary SNOWBALL daughter of Anthony bap. Mar 1796 Ryton and William, son, bap. Sept 1794 Ryton.  That would be Ryton Holy Cross Church.  Happy searching,

Thanks again for the info. Am sensing a lot of digging to find missing siblings! :)
