Any clues from this WWI pic?

I am wondering what can be discovered about this picture? Is it Canadian? I believe it is WWI Signallers but I just guessing.
Dever, Melody, Jordan, Quigley, McMahon, McNamara, Loftus, Hodgins, McHugh, McGuinness, Cheatley - Ireland

Yes, German telephone unit. Handsets and wire.

For a short period those "pork pie " hats were worn by British troops.
I know nothing about the telephone.
