Maybe James name is Lin?  & Elizabeth Gray 'were marryed yis(this)'  is my guess at the first bit.

The next is beyond me.

Parties
maryed

James Mukill Agnes Gray James Lin
& Elizabeth Gray were maryed yis
22 of June 1675 as also Wm paris (?)
& Kathren Galvens over[  ] in ecclesonathen
James farlowe(?) & Issobell Watsone were
maryed in Iscabrocke (?) on on [    ] and
[      ] Edward broms & Elizth bryce in
ecclesonathen in which(?) instant

As there is no clue to where this marriage took place, it’s difficult to try and find out the names of the places. I suspect most of the missing word are place names.

‘Ecclesonathen’ could be ‘Errlesonathen’, but I think these are ‘c’s and not ‘r’s.

Must say I couldn't see 1795.    But I think I can see 1675.   ;)

Perhaps the place in line 4, and in the last line, is Ecclesmachen ?

ADDED
Perhaps
line 4 – ...  & Kathren Galvens on a test(imonia)ll in Ecclesmachen
line 6 – ... on one test(imonia)ll and
line 7 - lik(e)wise Edward ...
last line – Ecclesmachen on 10th instant (= the date)

Quote
Iscabrocke (?)
Or maybe Strabrock (= Strathbrock?, if we are in West Lothian)

I would like to raise the possibility that the first surname is Mu(n)kill.

There is a straight line contraction mark over the u, which by the conventions of the time indicates omission of the Letter m or n following (Court Hand Restored, page xi) - n being most likely here.

As your interest is in Mickle/Meikle, are you sure that this marriage is relevant?

Agnes Gray's
death notice - is written:  'Agnes Gray, Relict of James Meikle (Wright).
In connection with a son's marriage in 1717- is written that Andrew Meikle, son of umquile (deceased) James Meikle, late Deacon of the Wrights in this Burgh..... Both paid for 'velvet mortcloth' at their death. 13/ (a lot of money in those days).

SORRY - I should have written that this marriage took place in Linlithgow, and my branches of the Meikle family are from Ecclesmachan area, West Lothian. I have also a Bann? for James and Agnes; an entry in the church bk., which took place a mth. before the marriage. More difficult to read and in connection with payments for this and that? Is it possible that there were 2 or 3 couples got married at the same time or are they witnesses to this marriage of James and Agnes?
