Charlotte Howlett, born 1817
« on: Tuesday 07 November 17 11:57 GMT (UK) »
Hello.

I'm trying to find the parents of my 4th great grandmother, Charlotte Howlett.

She married James Park 19 Oct 1835 at St Helens Norwich, they had 10 children between 1836 and 1857.

On the 1851 census it says she was born in "Norwich, Norfolk", 1861 it says "Pulham, Norfolk", 1871 says "Pulham S Mary, Norfolk", 1881 says "Norwich, Norfolk" and then in 1891 it says "Pulham, Dorset". She died in 1893.

I've looked into a Charlotte Howlett, who was baptised in 1817 to a James Howlett and Charlotte Wright, but then found she died in 1838 aged 21.

Now I'm stumped. Hoping a fresh pair of eyes may help :)

Thank you.

Had a son Robert.
What about Charlotte Howlett, bap 25 July 1815, Stratton St Mary (Long Stratton)
Parents Robert + Elizabeth
abode Wacton
father a Husbandman

Then there are baptisms at Pulham St. Mary Magdalen to Robert and Elizabeth, starting with Mary in 1817. Robert a Labourer

Oh brilliant thank you.

That seems very plausable with the connection to Pulham St Mary :)

Thank you again

Durham University Archives hold the family papers of the Howlett family who resided at Pulham Hall under the reference code: GB-0033-ADD
web page:
http://reed.dur.ac.uk/xtf/view?docId=ark/32150_s1ks65hc204.xml

Pulham St Mary was the birth place of Robert Howlett husband of Priscilla Etheridge - Fressingfield, Suffolk

There many records indexed on the Norfolk Record Office page go to:

By chance just came across the following marriage record:

David Howlet (signed Howlett) of Pulham St Mary & Martha Backler married by licence St Margaret, Syleham, Suffolk on the 11th January 1758
