He married my Grandmother, Mary,  on the 30th Jan 1901 at Christ Church, Hoxton, London

Is the exact date from a certificate?  If so it should give the name of his father to start with.

Was his wife Mary Elias?

David Davies married Mary Elias 30 December 1901 Hoxton  :-\

His father also David Davies a farm labourer and one of the witnesses was Elizabeth Davies.

hi Nice People,
I think he went back to Aberystwyth because he was born and raised in that area.
My cousin believes he knew he was ill and wanted to see  where he grew up in
happier times. He wanted to be buried in Aberffrwd cemetery but I can't find any
proof. Oh, and yes he did marry Mary Elias.

Hi have not checked out at present, but wonder why a 2 year old was a boarder in a household with no apparent parents present eg the David Davies aged 2 b Salem in the household of a Harriett Tisdale aged 50
Residing North Gate Street, Aberystwyth
Census ref RG11/5445/6/5

EDIT I see Queens Road, North Gate/Northgate Street and Thispian Street ( Where Harriet Tysdale was in 1901 census with a Catherine Davies 45 Single b Salem) are very close to each other?
Also a Kate Davies 25 Single b Salem in Queens Road in 1901 also a Mary A Davies aged 8 with Harriett Tysdale 62 in 1891 census?

Thank you for your help so far.
33 Central Street, Holborn is a good address.  My Nans' single name was Elias.
In the 1939 census I found Grandad's birthday (30/Nov/1878 ) Also, this is the
first I've heard about Alice A. his 2nd wife that we didn't know about. She was
the one who registered his death in Aberystwyth. He wanted to be buried in that
area and my cousin is convinced he's buried in Aberffrwd cemetery but I couldn't
find him when I looked - but I didn't look at the far end as there was a guy cutting
grass nearby who hadn't seen me and I didn't want to give him a heart attack!
Elizabeth Davies was his sister but Great-granddad was also married twice and I
think Elizabeth was from his first wife and Grandad from his second.
How do you get hold of Electorial records cos I've been told that Great-granddad
was thrown off of his farm because he didn't vote for Landowner he rented the
Farm from. I hope this answers a few of the questions.
Thanks again for helping me - Kind Regards Keith

Hi again, where did the information come from that Great Grandad either a David or Daniel married twice, possibly Elizabeth from the first and David the second, have you Elizabeth and David together on a census " Thrown off his farm because he did not vote for the Landowner" do both marriages give his father as David/Daniel and his fathers occupation?

OK the threads for the Davies family are indeed puzzling, we know that Elizabeth H Davies married a Leonard C Kemp or Leett she was widowed by 1939 and living with an Elizabeth Davies b 1872 Single at Rocklands, Queen Street, Aberystwyth, Elizabeth H Leett then marries a Hugh Jones 1959  Cardigan North and her death appears to be Elizabeth Hannah Jones b 22nd October 1912 death January 1998 Cardiganshire North aged 86 ( so where is Elizabeth H buried)?
I have located a possible Elizabeth aged 8 and a David aged 2 with a David occ Cowman in 1881?
