Date of attached photo from the North West of England

Hi,

The attached photo found it's way to me from my great uncle I do not know who it is. Any assistance in dating the photo would be greatly appreciated. Location would be North West England.

Well the lappets( the hangy down lace strips)on the lace cap must be of a specific time.
I must confess I can not give a date but some   Roots Chatter will know.

P.S.I`ve looked on Google and they seem to have come in and out of fashion pretty regularly, as early as 1854 and up to 1887. Of course as with Queen Vijktoria , a lady especially an elderly one might adopt the fashion and stick to it. So not much help . Sorry V.

Am guessing 1850-60s   Just guessing but I have a photo of an ancestor with similar headdress and brooch.
