How to Scan large, non standard negatives
« on: Wednesday 08 November 17 21:33 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I hope it is ok to ask, but can any of you scan non-standard size negatives, from the 1920's?

Or suggest how to do it?  I only have an ordianry 35mm type scanner.

Hi David...I scan mine at 1200dpi with the shiny side down and white card over the top to keep them flat. Lightly clean the surface dust off with a soft brush or blow on them. You will can them invert them from negative to positive.
Hope this helps.

I've scanned many using the method that Carol suggests - using the highest dpi (4800, I think I use)  you can get on your scanner.
