Wish me joy of my PDF!!
« on: Thursday 09 November 17 16:37 GMT (UK) »
Wish me joy!  I've just downloaded my second lot of PDF death certs and on the strength of one signature of an informant managed to confirm the parentage (father and mother) of an elusive illegitimate ancestor.  I won't bore you with the details, but I'm tickled pink and had to tell someone!

Always good when you get a result  ;D ;D
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

a-l and BumbleB - many thanks for your replies.  I can now allow myself to start researching the two new lines, which were just 'probables' before.

Yes, and it has made me decide to order more and more D/Cs.  We all know we should, but they tend to be the ones we leave until last, or avoid altogether.  The £6 price has certainly made it easier for me to swallow the outlay.

Thanks Jack!  My 'journey' has already been a long one but it still gives me a real buzz alongside all the frustrations.

Same joy to you,
Melbell
