Will of John A'Lee
« on: Thursday 09 November 17 18:54 GMT (UK) »
Is anyone able to help me with this last part of the 1560 Will of John Lee [A'Lee] of Sandwhich?

I can make out most of the details in the Will which is in a fairly bad way but I'm having problems with this last bit. In particular I'm trying to work out the name of the executor/s, any overseers, and the witnesses.

Many Thanks

Matt

His wyfe 'katheryne' and 'sonnes Andrew, James and John' are 'my executors overseers and admynystrators' of 'goodes lands & ten(emen)tes'.
John Turner owes him '? x e of barleye' and some wheat.

Witnesses William Pays curate
John Idden
Rowland Wylls & John Chylton
'whome I have desyred to be wytnes to thys p(rese)nte wrytynge'.

Hi

Thanks for that. I had managed to get the names of his wife and sons from the first page so thanks for confirming they were the executors etc.

I hadn't got the names of the witnesses so thanks for those.
