So perhaps in fact Bennett was Sarah's previous married name, rather than maiden name.

Agreed - Sarah's maiden name was Wetherby (plus variants Weatherby, Wetherbee).

She was the daughter of John and Hannah - John Wetherbee, widr. married Hannah Randle, widow, 21/6/1830 Exhall.

In 1861 Sarah's 2 children Eliza and Charles Bennett are with her mother and stepfather, surname Veasey.   John Veasey, widower,  married Hannah Wetherby, widow, 30/7/1860 Exhall - Hannah dau. of Joseph Greatorex.

So, Hannah Greatorex married a Mr. Randle, he died, and she married John Wetherbee 1830.   He died 1850's and in 1860 she married for a 3rd time to John Veasey.

At the moment, it doesn't look as if Sarah Bennett, nee Wetherby, ever married Thomas Rawson BUT it's looking as it his actual surname was not Rawson!   No trace of a baptism in Oxfordshire, indeed the name 'Rawson' doesn't seem to figure there at all, plus he doesn't appear under that surname in 1841/51/1861.   He and Sarah should be together in 1861 but can find no trace of them under any surname.

Breakthrough (I think).   Haven't checked all childrens births but Clara and Harry are both registered in 1864 and 1867 as STAFFORD, baptisms show parents as Thomas and Sarah, and GRO Index shows mmn was Wetherby!

So, seems as if Thomas' real surname was Stafford!   Can't check further as now got to go out for the day.

Possible for Thomas in 1861 in Exhall with wife Hannah and three children including Zettels aged 1: RG1/2198/100/8.

I think she is Zittillah Stafford mmn Simpson birth reg Sep qtr 1859 Foleshill.

Possibly therefore the same person as Zetiller Rawson, "9", in 1871?
