Sabre/fencing in Royal Marines
« on: Friday 10 November 17 16:42 GMT (UK) »
Hi All
My grandfather was in the Royal Marines Artillery from 1898 until about 1907. He spoke of taking part in fencing activities. I had thought this would only be something more senior staff would do but it appears to be incorrect as he was a private. Was this an activity done by everyone???
Hopefully someone can enlighten me on this subject.
Thanks in advance
KK
