Hi trying to confirm mothers maiden name
William F C Bushell was born in Dover Q2 in 1901 index reference 2a 1068a. His record has been handwritten at the bottom of the page. I am trying to locate him on the GRO search index so I can confirm his mother maiden name. But regardless of what information I enter he is not coming up. Is this because his entry is hand written?

Hi possibly the "C" stands for Court, if so there is a family in 1901 Dover with the wife being Adelaide J Court 26 b Walmer, in 1911 now a Bushell, her maiden name is Ellen ?

Hi Keyboard yes that is the conclusion I came up with. I am now related to this person directly through his mother and also his wife and was hoping to get conformation from the newly released indexes. It is a distant relationship so it’s not worth sending for the certificate bit I wondered had they missed off the written entries on the index.

funny thing is there is a 1901 census with William F C Bushell b 1898 Canterbury to a William & Elizabeth and a sister Alice 2 years older?

William died in Dover December 1973 5f 1141. His marriage can be viewed on Findmypast which ties in with all the other information I can find on him.
In the 1911census his mother in law is living with them.
