Good morning,

And again,

Just went on st view, it us no more. It is dead, tote, deceased, it has been demolished.

I popped the little fella on the middle of the bridge, turned him round and found myself looking at a building site, or the hoardings of.

What a pity, such is the way  >:(  I suppose the poor old bridge just couldn't take the modern traffic and no way to keep the old one and build a new one close by.

The bridge is fine suey it's the building in the photo that has gone, the restaurant. Weight limits and the width of the bridge keep that safe.

Added, another try; http://www.rootschat.com/links/01l1p/

Added again, Doesn't seem to want to work properly. You will need to put the little man on the bridge yourselves and scan right.

That is very odd as from Google Street view as John said, it is a building site, yet there are reviews on Trip Advisor from people staying there as recently as 3 days ago.  ???

Back again,

I think some of these reviews should be taken with a pinch of salt. They are not always written by actual people but by professional review firms who write them under ficticious names. They then post them to make places look good or bad as they wish. So may not be accurate in this case given that the building is not there.

It's allowing me through its website to try and book a room for Tuesday though, John. Unless we have the wrong name for that building and it wasn't the The Great House.

no, its 100% the right name.
i think it was just building works, not demolition that we see on street view

Agree with Pauline. If you zoom in, you can see the house behind the works. Looks like they were making some adaptations.

There are umpteen newspaper reviews of this place dated 2017, so definitely still there  :)
