Roman Catholic graveyards
« on: Monday 13 November 17 05:23 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I am trying to find information on Roman Catholic graveyards in the Dover, Kent region.  My grandmother was buried there, in the early 1960's I believe, and so far I have not been able to get any information regarding locations or graves.  Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Not absolutely sure, but I would imagine that by 1960's burial would have been in one of the local cemeteries.  I think that most of them had dedicated sections to various denominations.  The attached was taken from the list on Billiongraves attached to Charlton Cemetery in Dover.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

There is a RC church in Dover, St Paul, but it doesn't appear to have a graveyard attached to it.

Well, I have just now managed to find a record of what I presume to be her year of death https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/information.pl?r=227750138:9873&d=bmd_1508773079
Now I just have to try and find where she is buried.

Have you found Catherine on the 1939 Register?  There is a widow - Catherine Kelly - living in Dover, with the same year of birth as your death registration - 1963-86 = 1877.
