FELTON FROM GERMANY TO IRELAND

Hello,

I search information about the origins of Carl Rudolf Felton who was born in Germany around 1833.
He migrated to Queenstown (county of Cork) in Ireland around 1860.
He was married with Ellen Sullivan at Queenstown in feb/avril 1863 and had ten children.
He was dead at Queenstown in 1906.

I believe he came from Meclembourg ?

He appears on the Irish 1901 census as Rudolph Felton:

www.geneanet.org  the only Rudolph Felton b Germany on that site - there are Felton b 1700's in Ireland on that site - I wonder if Carl Rudolphs father was Irish
