Sunk Ships carrying wool

Hello, Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to find out about two ships which I believe were sunk going around the Cape.  They would have been carrying wool from Australia around 1850's  The consignment could have been sent by Joseph Horsfall (wool buyer, Sydney) to Lord Carrington in England for the Yorkshire Mills.
Is there a list of sunk ships with around this time?

Hello iwccc,

Try local historical newspapers at British Newspaper Archive/FindMyPast. The loss of a whole cargo, twice, would have been newsworthy, may have caused shortened hours or partial shutdown of the mill, which in turn might have caused labour unrest - all newsworthy themes.
