Perks / Garbet Maiden Dawley
« on: Wednesday 15 November 17 11:10 GMT (UK) »
Any information regarding the Perks/Garbet Maiden family would be really appreciated. I have only just realised there was a cunnery and that my grandparents George and Beatrice spent a short time there before they had children (Tony Ken Carol and Susan). Any stories or photos would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

Welcome to Rootschat!  :)

As the foursome you named appear to have been born 1944-1948, are they still alive?

Rootschat has a "no living" policy,

If your grand-parents have passed on then you can start there and work back in history?
What do you know about them?
Saves time and effort duplicating research, if you already have information and let us all know.

This looks like George and Beatrice's marriage, where does the name Garbet fit in?

Beatrice Maiden   Wellington
George Perks  Wellington

Beatrice born 1913 according to the 1939 register and George 1917.

Hi Karen

As you are a new Rootschatter, you need to post once more before the Personal Message system opens up for you.
You can then message people, privateley, should you need to talk about, eg, living people.

Just post a thank you to ChemPat for the very nice quick burst of info posted?

Thank you so much chempat. I have no idea how or why Garbet came in. It is really interesting to me that the name has two T’s – I have only known there to be one. Thank you again, much food for thought.
