history on John Rees

I am currently trying to make sense of the history of my grandfather.  Apparently born in Tassie 1822.  Moved with his brother to South Australia and married Elizabeth Fowler in Geelong in 1852.  I have all the victorian history but am unable to make sense of how he cam e to the mainland and how he came to Tassie.  He has a brother Matthew who has had a history written up on and a sister Margaret.  Both John & Matthew came to the mainland but Margaret stayed in Tassie
