Please can someone tell me what the theatre of war says on this chaps documents, I think it says Western, but I'm not sure

It does appear to be "Western" which is usually applied to a (home) command rather than a theatre of war so in this case "Western Command".

It may be possible to clarify this with a look at other parts of the record.  Do you wish to post his name and number?

Clear now.  He served, only in UK, from Mar 15 to Feb 19 in different battalions of the Lancashire Fusiliers and a brief stint in the Labour Corps ending in 4th Battalion Lancs Fus which was in Barry under Western Command.  Had a heart condition and was in a low medical category
