Is this the Leach connection?

3 September 1828 - Brotherton
Thomas Leach (Waterman) and Mary Hawksworth - both of age.  Thomas Hawksworth (x) was a witness.

The only baptism I can readily see for Mary Hawksworth at Brotherton is 27 January 1811, born 10 November 1810 - daughter of John and Hannah.  But that would make her 17 in 1828  :-\

Just had a look at the currency conversion - £400 in 1874 is worth around £31,000 today
