Stadium identification

Hi I need help in identifying the location of this photo of my dad(on the right) any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, I don't have a clue to be honest, but, it has the look of a horse racecourse "Grandstand", looking at the clothes the men are wearing I wonder if it was a day at the races.

And he's the chap in the light suit rather than the bloke with the dark tie?

Sunshine and possibly warm, as suits are light weight and pale in colour. No ladies clearly visible so perhaps a sport, at the time of the photo, more usually watched by men.
I did think perhaps a cricket ground?

Hi yes my dad is on the right.
The man with him is his step uncle and lived in Liverpool.
But this may not be in Liverpool, there was also family in Surrey.
