Person concerned has been found along with hundreds (and I mean hundreds) of other evacuee christenings in the parish Register of St Mary Magdalene, Gilsland. It would appear that the Co-operative Society Convalescence Home at Gilsland had been turned into a maternity hospital for mothers from the Newcastle area.
