Help please with a couple of words -
Death of William DICK -20/02/1778 (OPR- St Cuthberts)

William Dick Cowfeeder? in  .…Lanox hill  (age)70
Lys? 21 foot from East Door 29 from East Door

I cannot find a place called Lanoxhill but William married Ann Buchannan in 1768, St Cuthbert's Edinburgh, Midothian.Their daughter was christened in 1774; address:  Causeway Side

It looks like St Lanoxhill, but that's based on the writing rather than any knowledge of Edinburgh.

Lys - Lies

21 foot from East Door 29 from East Door - comparing it with the next entry, the second D- word looks like Dyke.

How about Lassox (Lassocks) Hill - again you probably need someone with local knowledge
