Robert BUTCHER, Bradfield Combust
« on: Friday 17 November 17 20:04 GMT (UK) »
It seems I was far off target with my requests for look ups at Great Waldingfield -- my apologies for that.

Instead, would SKS please look up the marriage of Robert BUTCHER in 1710 in Bradfield Combust: spouse names, parish of origin if any given etc.

And also, any BUTCHER baptisms between 1710 and say 1720 in Bradfield Combust.

Any help much appreciated.

kind regards
francoso

Baptisms for Bradfield Combust are on familysearch and there are no baptisms there in the name of Butcher at all between 1710 to 1740.

Thanks for looking this up, Annette7. The IGI is far from a complete record. In fact it doesn't even show the record of the marriage of Robert Butcher in 1710 at Bradfield Combust, which is where I'm told it did take place.

Boyds Marriage Index has a Robert Butcher marrying an Ann Nun in Bradfield St George in 1710.

Familysearch has the Parish Registers for Bradfield St George on film. They obviously haven't been transcribed yet, but are available for viewing at any of their Family History Centres.

Again, thank you emeltom for taking the time to look up my requests. Perhaps this Robert Butcher and Ann Nun in Bradfield St George in 1710 will help in my search.

I am still interested in anyone who has access to copies of the original parish records for marriages for Butcher in Bradfield Combust and also, now, Bradfield St George in 1710; and baptisms of Butchers in both parishes between 1710 and say 1720 plus.

Thanks and regards

Hi Francisco

Do you think he could be a relation to our Samuel Bouchier/Butcher born circa 1727 who lived in Bradfield Comburst circa 1750?

Hi - I would also be interested in any connection to Samuel Bouchier/Butcher/Boucher who is stated as being from Bradfield Combust at his marriage in 1750 age 22. Do you think Robert is part of this family? If you do find anything later please post.
Due to the lack of Butchers in the area, until this post on Robert, I have started, with others, looking at Samuel Boucher in the Spitalfield and Cripplegate areas of London with the Huguenots?

Hi twolf04 and wildinfamily, thanks for your queries. It is for that reason that I am trying to find the marriage and baptisms to try to establish a connection or otherwise.

Hi Francoso

Do you know of any Baptisms/ Marriages in Bradfield Combust?Bradfield St George under the name Bouchier, Bourchier, Boucher, Bouchien, Bouchinn etc

I did check out the French and earlier Dutch communities set up in Ipswich in 1681 and  did not find anything of interest.
