Help for the marriage of William Sutherland and Margaret Watherston

He was born in Perth (around 1833) she was in Edimburg (around 1836).
Familysearch gives 5 children , the eldest born in 1854, Hutchesontown, Glasgow.
They emigrated in France and had other children, he was a blacksmith,she died in CROIX (departement du Nord) in 1883, the record says father Jean (John) and mother Mary Blair (both dead before 1883).
He came back and died in Huddersfield (yorkshire) in 1907.
Help would be very much appreciated.

Can't easily see the marriage for you  Possible that records have not survived always. Also, many events pre 1855 went unrecorded.

Maybe the marriage took place in the Perth area? Is this Margaret's family in 1851?

Possible death for Mary Blair/Wheterston in 1883 in Perth - ref 387/ 436.

This was the year that daughter Margaret married from what you mentioned. Death looks to have taken place earlier that year.

Two possible deaths in Perth for father John (he may have died elsewhere of course):

John Waterston, aged 67. Death in 1880 ref 387/ 175
John Watherston, aged 72. Death in 1870 ref 387/ 198

Looks like Margaret Sutherland was visiting(on visit from France) her widowed mother on the 1881 Census(LDS Census free on Scotlandspeople).

I did spot this on SP(Banns and Marriages) -

William Sutherland / Margaret Welshshelstone(  ) 5th June 1853 Gorbals Lanark.

There probably wont be much more information

For William Sutherland, he shows as a blacksmith by trade on the 1861 census in Govan.

I wonder whether this is him with a brother in 1851:
