No entry on the Corps of Hussars 1914/15 Roll for this man.  Mistake??

I am Zoe Northeast, granddaughter of Maximilian Double.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
Zoe

There are a number of 1/1st. Dorset Yeomanry with just the BW & V medals.
Although a bit of a murky area (for me anyway) could some men have elected not to serve overseas which was their right as TF even though this man enlisted Aug.-Sept. 1914 according to his number.
If this is the case he wouldn't have gone overseas until at least Jan. 1916 when the new amended Military Act was introduced.
