Irish Baptism Record- John Guerin 1862
« on: Sunday 19 November 17 17:33 GMT (UK) »
I've attached the part of the record I can't read (with an arrow). I also have a link: https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000634727#page/31/mode/1up
I've also attached an image of the 1911 census which shows the same guy.
I think this might be my great-great grandfather but I can't quite decipher the writing to be sure or fully understand the format. I assume the child's first name is written on the furthest left columns along with the dates and the parents names are in the other two columns? I think the fathers name spells "John Guerin" which is the right surname and I believe the child's name is "John" which would be what his name was. I can't read who I assume is the mother's name at all. It looks like Johanna Breen or Brien? I can't read this at all and would love if someone could say with more confidence what is written.
I've also attached another name which looks like it could be Guerin from the same records, any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome  :)

Looking at the headings on the page the parents will be together.
So you have John, baptised; parents John Guerin and Bridget Doyle, thanks what it looks like to me and sponsors are James Brien and Margaret Doyle (I think).

I would say the arrowed name is GORMAN

Coincidentally, the second surname on the page you gave a link to is GORMAN too.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.
