Possibility in 1841 of a Henry Henry b 1835.  1841 image is clearly Henry but no 1851 entry of that name

FS shows his marriage to Lydia on 6.2.1870 Panteg

I don't think he was born as Hendy and if I'm right - it would be interesting to know whether he gives his fathers name as Aaron when he married Lydia

I think he was born as Henry Tomlins - no maiden name on GRO so illegitimate

Births March qtr 1851
Henry Tomlins        Monmouth    26   94

I think his mother was Hannah who married Aaron Hendy in 1855 and then moved to Gloucs by 1861

Hi Carole and Giggsycat.
On Henry and Elizabeth's childrens birth certificates, it shows Elizabeth, as late Proudfoot formerly Davies, I cannot find a Proudfoot marriage either. On Henry's death certificate Andrew Lister, son-in law registered his death. One theory is maybe Henry and Elizabeth weren't married. Firstly I cannot find a marriage and secondly Elizabeth on the 1891 census is with Aaron and brother in law, and both herself and Aaron are down as proudfoot. On the marriage for Henry and Lydia, William is down as Henry's father, also Lydia died young.
