Removing unwanted Photos from FTM2017

I was trying to up date a profile and added a number of photos in error and cannot see how to remove them.

They are as shown below:

From which website, or software, are you trying to remove them?
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Sorry I should have made it clear that I am using FTM2017.

I use FTM 2014 and to remove a photo I right click the required photo then select 'unlink media' this opens a box which allows you to choose any photo linked to that person, it doesn't delete it from your Media file unless you tick the box in the bottom left corner.

Thank;, on a slightly different question.

I notice that when I linked the picture to a person the photo's details still point to it's original location on my PC, naively I had assumed that all photos etc were subsumed into the FTM file rather than having to make sure I saved my photos separately. 

Is there a setting to ensure that all the database is automatically saved to one place?
