British Army Casualty Lists 1939-1945
« on: Wednesday 22 November 17 09:29 GMT (UK) »
Hello peeps

I've been looking at these on FindMyPast, but am puzzled as to the significance or otherwise of the handwritten three digit number against some (but not all) of the names.

Does anyone know what they stand for, please?

Thanks
STG

Edited to say : Just re-read FindMyPast's blurb and it says that the numbers refer to "another casualty list".  So, have actually answered my own question  ;D
