Harry's writing isn't the clearest on the 1911 census.

Marriage entry - st George, Ovenden - 14 September 1908

Harry Smith, 23, bachelor, Greengrocer of 1 Seedhill Terrace, Mixenden.  Father:  Joe (deceased) ?? Maker  Bootmaker
Ada Horsman, 24, spinster, Dressmaker.  Father:  Thomas Adamson Horsman, Mechanic
Witnesses:  Harry Walsh and Hertha Horsman.

Added:  GRO information for Donald Smith, born 1910 gives mother's maiden name as Horsman.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Hi Maureen and Bumble b, that's them! the 1891 census is a bit deceiving, I reckon they have missed a 1 off the 5, should be 15, that's why I have been struggling. And thanks bumble b for the wedding lookup, it is them too, Ada was an Horsman, and I was also born in the parish of St George, Lee Mount.

Thankyou.

Harry was born Dec Qtr 1885 Halifax mmn WALSH (Alice,I guess) so the 1891 age is correct.

Joe and Alice's marriage entry is also available to view on Ancestry.  3 August 1885 - St John, Halifax

Joe, son of Henry and Alice daughter of Ishmael Walsh.
