9 Fox Street on the 1901 is listed as a Lock up Sweet Shop - no occupants.

The confectioners at 9 Fox Street was run by James Orme in 1900, James Orme & Sons in 1911 per Gore's directories.

There were lots of Davies/Davis confectioners. Here is the list from 1914:

When you say it’s your mum’s family, is it her direct line?  Have you gone back to her grandparents etc?
Do you have a Davis/Davies in her line?
