I can only find one baptism in Gloucestershire and that is at St Philip & Jacob, Bristol 1 July 1838 for an Elizabeth Burgun/Bergum/Bergan parents John and Ann.It's in the transcriptions several times with different spellings of the surname but always the same date and parents.

Hi,

I found this baptism which would fit the date of the birth registration found by jim1,

Eliza BORGEN
Baptism Date:  1 Nov 1840
Parents: James & Anne

Unfortunately I can't see where in Gloucestershire this takes place but you might be able to find out here,

http://ww3.gloucestershire.gov.uk/genealogy/Results.aspx

I found this death which could be Eliza's mother,

Ann BIRGIN    Jun Q 1843    Stroud    11  301
Age:  23

Regards,
Daisy

I'm having trouble reading the occupation of her father from the marriage cert.

Does that say "Dealer"?

Burgum and variants are a well known Gloucestershire names.  I don't see a likely baptism that matches Eliza's details but this site may be useful:
