Display size increased.
« on: Thursday 23 November 17 19:54 GMT (UK) »
Help please.  Left my computer a short period showing normal desktop display but on return display is giant sized (desktop icons, websites, everything).
Can anybody guess what I've done, and hopefully tell me how to correct it?

Thank you in anticipation.

I don't think you have done anything. I was working on my computer when suddenly everything shut down, screen went black and switched off for a few seconds then back on again and after that everything was big and I don't know what to do either. I've tried rebooting it to no avail. So, like you, Heeeelp!

Have you tried going into Display and changing it from there?

Display, click Start, click Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and then click Display.

Yes and it won't let me change anything. Just tells me 100% is recommended.

Thank you Emeltom & groom.

Interestingly when I discovered the situation my first reaction was to switch the computer off and back on again, and at restart Windows updates were downloading (about 75% complete I recall) but that was the first I knew of it.
I'll wait until tomorrow now hoping someone has the answer.

Doesn't that only work on the site you are actually on? If I enlarge the page on here to read something and then switch to Ancestry, the text on there is normal size, but is enlarged when I switch back here. As I understand this problem, everything, including icons is enlarged.
