I've always had the best luck by adding these requests to findagrave.com  :)

I have had an open request on findagrave since Oct 23rd. I have just updated it to include the newly found plot location

According to the cemeteries officer at Havant Council, the grave is behind that of a  C J Cooper, next to the wall. The view of that area of the cemetery is obscured by a tree. It should be under that tree with the yellow leaves.

I don't know if the stone is still there.

I am sure that those directions should help anyone able to do this for you.

Hi give me a couple of days and then I'll pop over to see if I can find  him for you.

A couple of the fine folks at findagrave have been over last month and found the site and taken photos. No stone, just a holly bush. There may be an inscription on the surround edge stones but they are half buried.

The Friends of Havant Cemeteries, who have done so much to clean the underbrush, (area was completely overgrown) say they will try to go back to the site to see if there is inscription.

From the photos of findagrave I was able to identify an unmarked family photo of the site from March 1938. The grave of Charles is the one with 3 bouquet notes on it. The flowers on surrounding sites were overflow. (his sisterinlaw and brotherinlaw plus fatherinlaw and motherinlaw)

I don't need another photo until the "Friends" have had a chance to do their work.

Thanks for the offer, but I don't think it will be needed.

Ok no worries, it's been a while since I was last there but it wasn't as well kept as the photo 😕 actually the last time I was there the police were escorting a couple of drug users out of the cemetery.
