It would not be in Canada or Britain but close to the front line, this explains:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualty_Clearing_Station

His service record should give you an idea where he was serving before being injured.

The Midland Hotel is in Morecambe, Lancashire.

While Nanny Jan is right in pointing towards the way CCS's operated in the field, No 6 Canadian Casualty Clearing Station was in UK in 1943.  There are a number of undigitised records of 6CCS in the Canadian archives but significantly a number of photographs of nurses and operations are all labelled as being in UK in Oct 1943.

6 CCS went after D Day to France where it would have been located in the way nanny jan describes.

so in 1944 he would be following d-day if the ccs was following d-day in france he could of been injured during that time in france. bearing in mind it was, 15th 16th 17th december 1944

Your first post said 1943 which I assume was a typo?

If the 1944 dates you give are when he was injured, then he was in France Belgium or Holland and 6 Canadian CCS, which was part of 21st Army Group would have been following up the advancing allied armies.

Would it perhaps be better to see what unit he was in and check that out?  Does your info come from his record in which case a quick look at it would help to clarify this.

All I can get out of that list from "78 Wing" "86 Group" and 90 Group" and some others is that he was in the RAF, possibly in the signals world, and that all the places are in the UK.  There are no dates so the question of when and where he was injured or perhaps was simply sick cannot be answered.  It does look as if the time in 6 Canadian CCS was in UK rather than overseas.  Some of the units can be interpreted (PHU is a Personnel Holding Unit, PDC is a Personnel Dispersal Centre) but frankly to interpret a list of initials doesn't actually mean a great deal.

Need really to see the whole original record to interpret it properly!  There should be dates attached to the various places.  Your December 1944 dates are a  mystery so far.
