What relationship is this chart referring to?
« on: Sunday 26 November 17 21:17 GMT (UK) »
Near the bottom left corner it has arrows going out of the sons of William Spring and Anne Fitzmaurice leading to Thomas Spring(d. 1847). Can someone tell me exactly what this relationship this refers to as precisely as possible because I can't tell what it's saying.

Could it be as there are no DOB for the 2 the programme isn't sure if they are brothers of Thomas and William or if they are sons

If you added dates of birth to the 2 brothers even estimates then that should make it clear they are brothers and hopefully sort it out

I thought there being no Dates of Birth was the problem to begin with?

Yes so if you give John and Henry birth dates it should make it clear to the programme that William and Thomas are to young to be the fathers
Or do you have them linked to Thomas and William as sons as well as brothers

Oh no this isn't a programme, it's a scan from a genealogy book.

Ah sorry maybe then who ever wrote the  book or gave the info to the author either wasn't sure if John and Henry were sons or brothers of William and Thomas and I think the ? concenrs the parentage of Thomas m 1818 d 1847 as he seems to be only linked to his wife Also could it be the author is asking if Thomas m1818 was linked to this family as they don't have a birth for him hope this makes sense

I would suggest the book is clear Thomas Spring on the right with the number 13 in a circle is the son of  John Spring (mother unknown)

However the author is not sure if the two men John Spring and Henry Spring are brothers to William Spring b. circa 1730 & Thomas Spring b. after 1733 or are sons of William & Thomas (or even sons of William or Thomas).

The numbers in the circles refer to further information about the person named it is their database number.

Are their any contact details for the authors William & Jane Spring, they might now (17 years later have more information)?

Cheers
Guy
