I don't know
There is no William living with Sophia in the 1861census
I wonder if William died

Who did Sophia marry in 1855?  I can't see a marriage for a Sophia Coleman.

If she remarried - it should have been as Sophia Coleman - not Sophia Davis - yet as stated above - there is no marriage in 1855 so where did you get that info from?

Have you checked freebmd for a death?

I think you are referring to the 1855 marriage of Sophia Davis who married James Homans

That Sophia was a spinster and although her father was also William - he was a whitesmith which is a different occ to that shown for your Sophia's father on the 1849 marriage cert and the 1851 and 1861 census - fender maker

However - here's the 1861 entry.  Image shows surname as Thomas but correction has been notified as Homans.  They are living next door to Sophia Coleman's parents in the 1851 entry

James Homans   35
Sophia 31
Jane  7 - surname Thomas (Homans)
Anne 9 mths

So do you think I am completely off track. Although I do have a birth cert for a James Henry humans in 1856 which states mother  Sophia humans late Coleman formerly Davis.

I think she was married toGeorge, and I think that is her second marriage with wrong info,
Also I wonder if on the 1851the 2month old baby is actually Sophia baby and not daughter to wolliam and Ann.  Their previous baby would be 7 years old.  What do you think
