Love to swap info with anyone researching the family of Joseph MADDAMS born 1819 North Mimms. He married Louisa KELL in 1849, registered Ealing, Middlesex.
In particular at the moment I'm curious to find out what happened to their son Charles Edwin MADDAMS (

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Maddams-12).
Charles Edwin's birth was reg. Staines, Middlesex, England 1860 Qtr 1, mother's surname KELL.
He seems to go under Edwin (1861 census) and hasn't yet been found in England after 1871.
Is he the Charles E MADDAMS in Essex, Ontario marrying 1889 to Jane Little?

One source shows that Charles' mother as Mary rather than Louise, but agree on Joseph as his father's name.
The Ontario chap is variously C Edward/Chas E/Edward/Ed but I've not found him as Edwin.
Birth date supposedly 15 Nov 1859, England, which does fit with a Qtr 1 birth registration in Middlesex England (Staines, mother KELL).
Love to hear from any descendants of the family but even more so if you've considered, or have undertaken, DNA testing - FamilyTreeDNA's yDNA for direct male line MADDAMS, or any of the autosomal tests (Ancestry, MyHeritage, FamilyFinder from FTDNA) as long as we can check on GEDMatch.com for matches.
